Therapy is personal.

It’s important that you find a therapist who is a good fit for you.

Seriously though! Research tells us that one of the most important predictors of success in therapy is your relationship with your therapist.

My approach

Human existence is unique for each of us, and that means a uniquely tailored approach to therapy is important. Taking a one-size-fits-all approach negates the fact that we are naturally complex beings.

If you could get the same thing from therapy that you could get from a self-help book, you wouldn’t be here, would you?

My therapy approach is practical, compassionate, easygoing and down-to-earth.

I draw from my training in evidenced based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting, but I also rely heavily on my own intuition to help guide our work together.

Life isn’t linear…neither is therapy.

I weave together various theories and principles to create a personalized therapy experience just for you.

my philosophy

I believe that all people are inherently good and that we’re all doing the best we can. I also believe that we can always be doing better.

When issues arise, it is typically a result of some context, circumstance, or life experience that a person encountered. Using this framework, I strive to help you better understand what's shaped your life thus far and to help you not only realize your own goodness, but learn to harness it to make a better life for yourself. Your goodness is in there. Trust me! Let me help you find it…

all are welcome

I value and celebrate diversity both in my life and in my therapy practice.

In general, I enjoy working with those who don’t feel welcome in other spaces. In my work, I recognize my own biases and privileges, and strive to practice humble allyship to those whose life experiences are different from my own.

“It’s impossible to get to know people deeply and not come to like them.”
