While therapy is all about you and your life, you might like to know a little bit more about me, since I’ll be with you every step of the way…
ABOUT me
Aside from being a therapist, I’m an inherently flawed human being, as I expect you are too.
I know you don’t have all the answers, and I want you to know that I don’t either. What sets me apart as a therapist is my willingness to be open about my humanness and truly accept the humanness in you.
Because I’m human, I know what it’s like to need help. I know what it’s like to feel scared, confused, lost and overwhelmed. Believe me when I say: I’ve been there. I also know that if you’re here reading this, you’re willing to reach out for help and to commit to being honest with yourself about what’s going on. So way to go! You’re on the right track.
My experience
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.
Prior to opening my own therapy practice, I worked for several years in community mental health agencies providing crisis intervention, wraparound support, and therapy to children, teens, adults, and families in varying contexts throughout the St. Louis region. This experience afforded me the opportunity to work alongside individuals from various social, economic and cultural backgrounds as they worked to address a wide range of issues.
I specialize in supporting individuals who have experienced some type of trauma, especially those who have been abused - emotionally, physically, sexually or financially.

WHO I REALLY AM
I grew up in the Chicago area, but I’ve lived in St. Louis since 2013. People closest to me would describe me as deeply caring, loyal, compassionate, sarcastic and easygoing.
While I love connecting with people more than anything, I’m a highly sensitive introvert and a self-proclaimed over-thinker. To keep things balanced, I lean on my support system, work with my own therapist, take naps when time allows, and practice setting healthy boundaries for myself.
Just like everyone else, I’m a work in progress, and I enjoy the opportunity to show up as my authentic self, creating a safe space for others to do the same.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my son, traveling, walking my dog around Kirkwood, listening to podcasts/audiobooks, experimenting in the kitchen, frequenting the Tower Grove Farmers Market, unapologetically binging my favorite TV shows, trying new restaurants with my husband, and spending quality time with friends.
“Being human is not about being any one particular way; it is about being as life creates you—with your own particular strengths and weaknesses, gifts and challenges, quirks and oddities.”
